Sexy new jacket is sexy. And new. (Also a jacket.)
I've been looking for a jacket since the fall season started, scrounging the usual budget shopping locations. I'd been completely unable to find one that was close-fitting enough to be flattering but still wide enough to zip over my (massive girly-giveaway) hips. After weeks of searching with no luck at all, I found two as I was browsing on my lunch break today!
I couldn't decide which one to buy. I tried them both on and I really liked them both, but they were so different. I held them both up and asked myself, "Which one would Adam Lambert buy?" (Neither was the sad truth--one was too drab, and the other, while purple and be-buckled, was also plaid and didn't show nearly enough ass.)
But asking that gave me the confidence to buy the be-buckled one. The drab jacket was cute, but very normal.
I paid twenty-five dollars over what I wanted to spend (fun things always seem to be too expensive). But it's so sexy! It's a mid-thigh length duster in black, gray, and purple plaid with three little silver buckles at and neck closures and each of the wrist closures. I love longer jackets--they keep my butt warm while I'm sitting waiting for the bus--but I was worried that the extra length would accentuate my hips. This one doesn't; it falls straight out from the shoulders. Although it is wider at the hips than the shoulders, the straight line helps minimize the visual curve. Me likey.
